The Dreaming Spires
The Dreaming Spires bursts fresh out of the box with an enviable musical pedigree. Group members, and brothers, Robin and Joe Bennett formerly played with the influential Goldrush and Danny & the Champions of the World, and toured America backing Mark Gardener of Ride. At the festivals they founded, Truck, Wood and Truck America, they have jammed with everyone from Mercury Rev and The Jayhawks to Garth Hudson of The Band.
The Dreaming Spires released their debut album 'Brothers in Brooklyn' on Clubhouse in June 2012. The album unashamedly celebrates and name-checks the artists, songs and second-hand vinyl the band love - Big Star, Gram Parsons, The Band and The Byrds.
After the success of last year's debut single 'Everything All The Time', and recent single “Not Every Song From The Sixties Is A Classic”, this album fills out the picture of what can be achieved by writing 11 great songs and recording them simply with great playing and harmonies, an exceptional offering from a band who celebrate transatlantic brotherhood in style.
The Dreaming Spires’ debut album is picking up airplay from Spain to New Jersey, as well as from BBC 6 Music, Xfm and Radio 2, and acclaim from all corners of the press, with many calling it one of the albums of the year.
A new single, Just Can’t Keep This Feeling In, is released on November 12th.
Like much of the album, the single showcases the musicianship of Robin & Joe Bennett with a little help from their friends; Co-produced by Sam Williams (Supergrass/Go Team), the recording features a powerhouse drum performance by Loz Colbert (Ride) and some psychedelic guitar from Jason Sebastian Russo (Mercury Rev/Hopewell).
Imagine Crosby, Stills & Nash singing with The Who at their peak, with James Jamerson on bass and lyrics by Dylan: Just Can’t Keep This Feeling In is a timeless, turbo-powered pop gem that stands alone in the present musical landscape.

Kontiki Suite
Kontiki Suite hail from the isolated outskirts of the Lake District in England's 'Deep North'. Following on from the 2009 release of their debut CD 'Stars EP', and national airplay on Steve Lamacq's BBC Radio 2 show and Tom Robinson's BBC Radio 6 Music show, the band are currently recording new songs for the forthcoming album and booking gigs throughout the country.
The band consists of song writ
ing brothers Ben & Jonny Singh on rhythm and lap steel guitars, cousins Marcus Dodds and Mario Renucci on lead and bass guitars, and the disappointingly unrelated Chris Brown and Craig Bright on drums and percussion.
The band share a collective love of melody, harmony, psychedelia and country, borne out of an appreciation of the B-troika brigade of bands from the mid-1960s to today; The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Burrito Brothers, Big Star, Bob Dylan, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Beachwood Sparks, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Blazin’ Squad, have all had an undeniable influence on the sound of the band.
