VENUE SPACES:

The Cluny: 300 fire limit (includes all guests, band members and staff, we recommend sellable cap 270 - 275)

Cluny 2: 180 capacity (semi-seated/fully standing on ground level in front of stage), 130 (fully seated)

Both venues are available to hire for live music events, parties, meetings and private functions.

Cluny 2 is also suitable for theatre, comedy events, spoken word and lectures.

Tickets for all of our events can be purchased from The Cluny directly, either over the bar or by phone at 0191 2304474 (12 - 5pm)

STANDARD EVENT INFORMATION:

Unless otherwise stated on our website and listings, all of our evening gigs start at 8pm and have an 18+ age restriction.

We have a strict 11pm curfew for live music but our bar is open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT LINKS: Bus services 12, 22, 39, 40, 62 & 63 on New Bridge Street at the top of Stepney Bank.The Q2 Quaylink bus also now serves Ouseburn Valley, stopping on Byker Bank. Byker and Manors Metro stations are both within walking distance.For more information on local transport, call Traveline on 0871 200 22 33 – lines open weekdays from 8am to 8pm.

NEARBY ACCOMMODATION:

The Cumberland Arms just up the hill from us is a great pub and also has very nice Bed & Breakfast facilities.

Otherwise we recommend the Ramada  Encore Gateshead which is a 10 minute drive from the venue but very reasonably priced with excellent facilities and rooms, plus very helpful staff

The Premier Inn Millenium Bridge is less than 5 minutes walk from the venue

PARKING:

A reasonably-sized free car park, accessed via Foundry Lane is about 50 yards from our door. Plus two small paying car parks under the arches of Byker Bridge.


THE CLUNY KITCHEN:

We serve food from midday until 9pm every day, on Sundays we run a brunch menu (not Sunday lunch).  We also have a kids menu available (children welcome until 7pm).

 

The Cluny is also happily DOG FRIENDLY!
